Rocco leads a special 'field crew' out to the paddy: all ducks. The mission sounds professional — handle pests and weeds — but the whole team only ever replies with one sound: quack.
Ducks really do farm rice
Letting ducks loose in a rice paddy is a well-known nature-friendly method: they eat snails, insects and young weeds, stir the mud to help the rice, and spare the farmer from chemicals. The only line Rocco can never settle on the payroll: beyond lunch right there in the field, the ducks ask for nothing more.
