Editorial Policy
DETOON turns Internet trends into comics and multi-genre entertainment with original characters. This page explains how we make content and keep its quality. Effective 24 September 2026.
1. Mission and independence
We tell the story of the Internet the DETOON way — fun, clear, kind. Our editorial view is independent of advertisers or partners; sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled.
2. Production process
Each piece follows a flow: catch the trend, understand the context, express it through DETOON characters, then edit and check before publishing. For news pieces (Today), we rely on official sources and reputable outlets.
3. Sourcing and fact-checking
Informational pieces are checked against sources and cited openly under "Verified sources". We do not publish figures or quotes we cannot verify; when we cannot confirm something, we omit it rather than guess.
4. Entertainment vs. news
Comics and viral pieces are entertainment and may exaggerate for comedy. Today articles are sourced news summaries. We note this clearly at the end of articles so readers don't mistake entertainment for professional advice.
5. Corrections and updates
When we find an error, we fix it and note the update. If you spot something inaccurate, please tell us via the Contact page so we can check.
6. AI-generated content
Images and part of the content are AI-assisted and edited by humans. See the AI Content Policy page for details.
